Each Christmas, our church participates in a movement called Advent Conspiracy; that helps us experience Christmas in a more meaningful way.  You can also learn more about this at the link below: www.adventconspiracy.org/

For our Giving Target this Christmas, our church will be raising funds to bless the ministry of the Faraja Widows, which is a micro-enterprise clothing & jewelry-making ministry based out of the Kibera slums in Kenya that ministers to widows and orphans that have been affected by HIV/AIDS.  Their workshop and worship center burned to the ground on November 3rd and the funds we raise will go towards immediate aid; as well as the rebuilding of this ministry to the “least of these” in our world. An informational video about this ministry can be found below:

I hope you’ll join us next week as we continue our Advent Sermon Series entitled:  “Waiting.”  Throughout the Christmas Story, the theme of waiting looms large and that is encouraging for us today as we often wait for God’s Providence in the midst of problems and as we all wait for His return one day.  Join us for worship at this special time of year!  🙂
